This is a stunning necklace of large hand-shaped pieces of Mexican amber. The heart pendant is handmade of barro negro (black clay) from San Bartolo, Oaxaca. The clasp is sterling silver.
Length is 19.5".

Mexican amber is among the rarest and highest qualities of amber in the world. The amber is of a long extinct species of tree and is probably about 25 million years old.
